Sponsor a Child / Added On 15 15th June 2008 by Jonathan Carswell Sponsor a Child with 10ofthose and the Metropolitan Mission
Thank you for your interest in the Metropolitan Mission (MM) ‘Sponsor a Child’ scheme. The MM is an indigenous evangelistic mission based in Southern India. It’s principal work is evangelism and church planting, already having more than 70 congregations in needy slum areas of the city of Vijayawada. The mission teaches, trains and sends out dozens of evangelists/church planters each year. The work has been hugely blessed by God. The MM are also involved in providing care, housing, education and spiritual input to over 350 orphans. These children come from all sorts of backgrounds, but all are in desperate need of care. Over a decade ago the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) partnered with the MM to enable them to buy land and build dormitories, kitchens, a school and a workers yard to enable the orphanage to develop. Today the mission is run by Brother Ebenezer and his wife Mary – dynamic Christians who have given their lives to evangelizing India. Can you help them? £16 a month covers all the needs for one child, including their food, education (both spiritual and secular), health care, as well as accommodation and clothing. They will write to you, and you can do likewise. Photos will be sent to you and a detail progress report is sent to you so you can pray informative prayers.
