For a bit of fun on a Friday afternoon we thought we’d knock together 10 facts about 10ofthose. Some of them you might know already but others might be news to you!

10ofThose was started in a broom cupboard in Northern Ireland! 

·      Fact 2

10ofThose is completely self–sufficient financially. We do not ask for donations for our work, and no group or individual financially sustains us.

·      Fact 3

The first book we ever sold was Vaughan Robert’s book Turning Points.

·      Fact 4

Last year we sold just short of 400,000 resources.

·      Fact 5

In 2011, we gave away 1000s of books – this is part of our commitment to give away our profits and see more people reading good books that hold to the Bible.

Lots of people think we are “anti–bookshops” – in fact we supply lots of bookshops with their resources.

·      Fact 7

A quarter of the staff members are dyslexic and only two don’t wear glasses. The average age of our staff is 30 years old.

Jonathan Carswell, who set up the company, hadn’t read a book (unless he was forced to for school) until he was 16.

·      Fact 9

To keep the cost of resources down, one of the staff offices is actually just a large gazebo in the warehouse!

·      Fact 10

Two reasons we can discount our books so heavily are because we buy in large quantities and we work hard to keep our overheads down – one way of doing this is through our great team of volunteers.
