Jesus in College Being a witness for Jesus at college | |

Stephanie Bushell, once a shy new Christian, tells the true story of the ups, downs, challenges and triumphs of her student days at Parkville College, where she worked to make Jesus known. She chases a caretaker down a corridor, stages a disastrous chocolate party, and even manages to become a college governor by accident! These are among the experiences she shares in this story of facing her fears, feeding her faith, and finding fruit in unexpected places. Anyone who is part of a Christian Union in a Further Education or Sixth Form College will relate to Stephanie’s story. If you ever feel afraid in the face of God’s calling, or are weary of persevering, this book is for you. We see glimpses of our invisible God and of His harvest to come. Stephanie Bushell has supported Christians in Further Education colleges for the last seven years: as a student Christian Union leader, with UCCF, and currently on behalf of Festive. She enjoys making music, blogging and eating cakes. |

Matt Oliver - UCCF, Sunderland on 26.04.2009 at 13:11:29 have been intending to recommend this little book since I read it a couple of months ago. It really is excellent, and even a slow reader like me can finish it in one short stint. I was simultaneously encouraged, challenged, motivated and excited as I turned the pages and took in the stories, ideas and personal testimony. Steph Bushell has honestly retold of her time as a student, a Relay worker, a UCCF Staff Worker with students in further education colleges in an engaging and very very honest way. There are great highs and lows, successes and failures, joys and sorrows as she retells of how she sought to make Jesus known to those who needed to hear the message. For students or workers involved in small Christian Unions in colleges or universities and for those thinking of starting a CU this book is a must read, you will find it inspirational I am sure. |
