Summary

Galatians For You walks you through the book of Galatians, showing how the gospel message changes the whole of our lives. Combining a close attention to the detail of the text with Tim Keller’s trademark gift for clear explanation and compelling insights, this is a uniquely flexible resource. It can simply be read as a book; used as a daily devotional, complete with reflection questions; or utilised by anyone who has a teaching ministry, to help small–group leaders understand and apply the text, and to give preachers helpful ways of connecting timeless Bible truths to today’s world. This is the latest resource from New York pastor and bestselling author Tim Keller, and the first in the new God’s Word For You series.

Not a commentary - even better!

This little book on Galatians is a great read. This is neither a technical commentary nor a fuzzy devotional. The series preface explains that it is NOT a commentary. It is written at the popular level and does a very good job at explaining the verses in an easy to understand way. Keller seeks to lead the reader through Paul's letter to the Galatians, explaining the text and adding some memorable illustrations and applications. Due to the nature of the series, some questions are left unanswered and verses skimmed over slightly, but this is to be expected in 200 pages. The aim of this book "is not to praise the author, but the one he is pointing to." Keller has done a wonderful job getting me excited about the gospel of grace and applying it to my heart. It does what it says on the cover: Galatians for you. This book got me reading the Bible and searching the text.
