An Unexpected Journey from Islam to Christianity In Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, Nabeel Qureshi describes his dramatic journey from Islam to Christianity, complete with friendships, investigations, and supernatural dreams along the way. Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. Unable to deny the arguments but not wanting to deny his family, Qureshi’s inner turmoil will challenge Christians and Muslims alike. Engaging and thought–provoking, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity in one man’s heart… and of the peace he eventually found in Jesus.
I have seldom seen such genuine intellect combined with passion to match … truly a ‘must–read’ book.
This is an amazing, powerful and moving testimony of a young devout Muslim who came to know Jesus as LORD and Saviour while investigating the trustworthiness of the gospel and New Testament documents together with a friend. He also recounts honestly his life as a Pakistani-background Muslim and his painful journey of discovering the truths about Islam and Mohamed. This book gave me valuable insight into the thought-world and culture of Muslims as well as "what it takes" and the high cost for a Muslim to leave Islam and give His life to Jesus. I whole-heartedly commend this book to all of God's people who have an interest in reaching Muslims with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I found this book really helpful in understanding the different cultural foundations of a Muslim believer. It gives a better starting point for talking to a Muslim as well as being a book to recommend.
I found this book to be a thrilling read. Nabeel movingly shares his background as a devout Ahmadiyya Muslim, how he came into contact with a Christian man who became his best friend, and his investigation into the claims of Christianity and Islam. I found his explanation of the key issues very helpful, as he explained that the two Christian cruxes for him was the deity of Jesus and the death of Jesus, whereas as a Muslim he believed in the divine authority of the Quran and the impeccable character of the prophet Muhammad. This book would be a great help to Christians who want to understand how their Muslim friends view the world and how they can effectively engage with them about these issues. It would also be very suitable to use with a Muslim friend in order to generate discussion about the claims of Christianity and Islam. I found his story moving, the facts compelling, and the conclusion gripping. A wonderful testimony to the grace of God in a young man's life.
